FAQ

Alright, here's how it goes.

You start off getting to choose a Perk.

The greater strength gives you VERY NOTICEABLE attack damage.

The more gold randomly spawns coins estimated every 10 seconds to give you more gold.

The improved stats starts you off with a bonus to each stat without a price increase

The greater defense lessens the damage done to you

See the percent bar? Get that to 100. To do that, you have to fight enemies. Scroll your cursor to the left edge of the screen to see a list. You can start off buy buying stronger monsters (only 2 to buy in this level) or just fight Goombas.

Your Gold is at the bottom right of the screen, health at the top left, and enemies health is in the middle.

Goombas give 1% to the completion and a little gold
Koopas give 2% to the completion and more gold
Para-Goombas give 3% to the completion and a lot of gold

the better the reward, the harder the enemy

At the shop

Luck: The more luck you have, the better loot you get off enemies, and luckily they do less damage.
Stache: Your overall health
Strength: The damage you do

when your tired, rest at home for sweet dreams

Watch the time though, if you run out, it's game over.

The updates will slow down a bit. I've got a lot of mapping and story line to work on.

-Fixed a few layering issues, you can now see your timer when you sleep again that I glitched up in a previous update, objects that are distant no longer appear above far away objects.

-fixed the bug where Peach's Castle would disapear for no apparent reason
-animated 50% of the para-goomba fight
-slowed the speed of the ground you run on
-I'm not sure why, Peach's castle might spawn for no apparent reason. I've been working on that
-altered the speed of other objects.

Edit 3/8/09 (colossal edit)
-Added a new dream
-Improved the quality of the sound a bit more, it's just 2.3% the origional
-created a massive background to make it seem more real. Not that you'd care, but it took me hours to make it so random and cool.
-added some clouds using that same method
-when you get attacked by an enemy, you stop the clouds and you get the perceived notion by the background that you have stopped moving
-more layer alteration
-the odds of an up close background thing Jurassically decreased
- altered the layering for convenience, you will no longer see clouds on top of the enemy select bar.
-You can skip through dreams now
-[link] told me he changed his mind about me animating his 'At home Alone' series... I wonder what happened? He just tore down all his comics and fan art... :( My best guess is that he stopped liking Mario all together... but I can't speak for him.

-Put some game over music in credit goes here [link]
- finished animating the fight between Mario and Koopa (finally! that took me 2 hours)
-reduced the time you have by 50 seconds
-reduced the quality of the game over music. Instead of 2.2 mb its 190 kb, and it still sounds moderately good.
-More background items
-Peach's Castle
-fixed a glitch where the cloud wouldn't stop tweening
-added solid ground



Edit 3/6/09
-Changed Luigi to have more shading, he looks nicer now.
-Animated some Koopa fighting 50% done.
-ugly stick drawing of koopa and mario fighting removed.
-made it so that when you rest, the minimum you can get to is 1, and you should see that number more frequently.
-fixed a few graphical mess ups
-smoothed out some animations
-enemy hp doesn't fall below 0
-Your hp can't fall below 0
-You can change the quality of the game by pressing 1, 2, 3, or 4. Pressing 1 sets the quality to "Best" 2 sets it to "High" and so forth.



Edit 3/5/09 686kb (major edit)
-Reduced the sensitivity of the sidebar a bit
-Made the screen fade to black when you get to 100%
-fixed a few minor errors, such as
-Luigi's buttons were not colored before
-centered the ending picture to the dream about crossbreeding a Toad and Goomba (it was a bit to the right, and bothered me)
-fixed Luigi's eye, his watery spot was see through
-improved the visual appeal of almost all text
-changed Mario's running animation to make his leg look better on one frame
-added 100 seconds so that the game is theoredically possible
-Luck is much more important, it reduces resting time and fetches more gold
-you can see the remaining time as you rest
-the back to game button and rest button have changed positions, my testers told me naturally they kept on accidently clicking the rest button on accident.

-My request to use someones story line was bluntly refused. she must've not liked this game
-[link] was cool with me using his "At home alone" story, though it won't be in this game. He's a great artist, you should check out his stuff. He's great at drawing Mario Comics.

-Made the button thingy to the left see through
-Scroll your cursor to the left to see the bar thing
-made an x button to make the bar thing go away, or just roll your cursor over it again.
-Mario is no longer a stick figure when running
-Added a timer
-The timer will slightly scale depending on your luck
-Added a background
-Animated all enemies walking movement
-set the quality to low
-took away the right click menu
-animated the goomba fight scene WOOHOO!


Edit 3/2/09
You have to buy the Koopa now, you can't go to the shop unless you've beaten the Koopa/Goomba, don't buy more monsters than 1 you'll waste money, you can now rest at home, but it'll take some time, gave luck more meaning, I recommend at least 12 luck when fighting Goomba and 13 Luck before fighting Koopa.
-Added paragoomba
-added the percentage meter and made it so that enemies are worth a percent of completion
-completed level1 (except graphics need improvement) Yay!

Select a monster to fight Mario at the left of the screen. Your gold is at the bottom of the screen. Go to the test shop to spend your gold on upgrades to get gold easier..

I'm sure you get the idea of how this game will get better.
Umm... Also, if there are any artists willing to help, that'd be great!



Also, here's the stats:
Strength: buy it to do more damage.
Stache: Use this to be healthier
Luck: You just happen to run into weaker monsters who just happen to have more money

Alright, here's how it goes.

I just played it, I like the idea of a magic Luigi. Though the screen does fall too much to know what's going on.

The camera bars were scripted to go down a bit more if he's going down, or go up a bit more if he's going up.

Well if I fall too much the screen seems to lag a bit when following Luigi down. My uncle is also working on making a game too!
